Buckeye Quarter Midgets

Fortress Obetz is thrilled to welcome the Buckeye Quarter Midget Racing Association (BQMRA) for another exciting season of quarter midget racing. With a legacy extending over 60 years, BQMRA brings the thrilling world of quarter midget motorsport to our state-of-the-art facility, located on the grounds of the historic Columbus Motor Speedway, now transformed into Obetz’s premier sports complex.

Our venue boasts a 1/20th of a mile track, sanctioned by the USAC, providing the perfect backdrop for BQMRA’s high-octane races. As a key player in the Midwest Thunder Quarter Midget Racing Series, the association brings together competitors from nine quarter midget clubs across Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan, making our track a battleground for some of the most exhilarating regional and national events in the sport.

Beyond local club races, BQMRA’s commitment to the racing community is further demonstrated through its organization of the Columbus Indoor Winternational Racing Series held each winter at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. We invite racing enthusiasts and families alike to join us at Fortress Obetz to experience the speed, skill, and spirit of the young racers and the dedicated community behind the Buckeye Quarter Midget Racing Association.
